Danse Macabre III, orchestration & puppets

Danse Macabre Part III:

The Dance of the Dead

The Last of Three Puppet-Orchestral Collaborations

Running March 17-25, TWO WEEKENDS ONLY

Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theatre and Two Star Symphony join forces again for the final installment of their three-part Danse Macabre series. With music by Two Star Symphony and text by Bobbindoctrin's Joel Orr, The Dance of the Dead takes us on a journey beyond death as ode to the Camille Saint-Saens symphonic poem Danse Macabre, the original inspiration for the three collaborations. With Two Star Symphony setting the mood with their chilling original scores, Bobbindoctrin leads us through a graveyard where a man has been buried alive on the fateful night when the dead rise to dance out the tragic motions of their living selves. Roaming grave to grave, we become acquainted with the dead and their last memories, building towards the climactic Saint-Saens piece Danse Macabre, with a new arrangement by Margaret Lejuene and choreography by Freneticore
