Katy Freeway Total Closure

TOTAL CLOSURE OF I-10/KATY FREEWAY EASTBOUND IN THE VICINITY OF THE I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE RECONSTRUCTION

"Motorists are Encouraged to Avoid the Area and Seek Alternate Travel Routes"

(Houston) -This weekend, June 23 -26, 2006, the Texas Department of Transportation's Contractor for the I-10/I-610 Interchange reconstruction will totally close I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound from Silber to west of Washington, starting 9 PM, tonight, June 23 until 5 AM, Monday, June 26. Multiple direct connector ramps will also be closed at varying times over the weekend, including:

1) The I-10 westbound direct connector to I-610 southbound will be closed 9 PM, Friday, June 23 until 6 AM, Saturday, June 24. Detour to I-610 northbound to exit at 18th Street and U-turn to enter I-610 southbound.

2) The I-610 northbound direct connector to I-10 westbound will be closed nightly on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 from 9 PM until 6 AM. Detour to exit at 18th Street and U-turn to enter I-610 southbound to access I-10 westbound.

3) The I-10 eastbound direct connector to I-610 northbound will be closed from 9 PM, Saturday, June 24 until 6 AM, Sunday, June 25. Detour to I-610 southbound, exit at San Felipe and U-turn to access I-610 northbound.
