Response
The inner core looks so safe. Is this building also a nuclear bomb shelter?
tangledwoods
Quote The inner core looks so safe. Is this building also a nuclear bomb shelter? most tall concrete buildings use a strong core to avoid perimeter shear walls. This allows for better views and smaller perimeter columns. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shear_wall

gene
I don't know why but the lower silver clad building reminds me of either The Jetson's tupperware or a building that you can snap on another level as needed 🙃

Popular Post hindesky
From a distance you can see the tower crane is about to get in the way of the concrete pump. I was thinking this would be a good time to jump and they are. Spotted 3 new sections and noticed the climber on the crane for the first time.

bobruss
This is one, in a series of sculptural works by John Runnels, commissioned by Buffalo Bayou Conservancy . Every stairway that leads down to the bayou has one. He and Charlie Sartwelle are the founders and owners of Mother Dog Studio, situated in the heart of the Genesis project area. Which hopefully will become an island north of downtown.

I bought a painting at one of the Art Crawls years ago and he framed it for me.
