the buildings directly across waterway ave from goose's acre & americas and on waterway square are 20 waterway avenue. there are two buildings to house four establishments. one is "crush" a wine lounge and another is "grimaldi's" coal brick-oven pizzeria. both restaurants have openings scheduled in the spring. btw, sirenuse euro bistro at 24 waterway is coming along nicely: Sirenus

4 Waterway Square: Office Building For The Woodlands
bachanon replied to TheNiche's topic in Points North
http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/s...png\\ sorry waxman, the buildings under construction are the 1900 car garage with retail and the 9 story office building at 4 waterway square. neither the condo tower, nor the hotel are under construction. the 390 plus apartment complex at six pines & waterway avenue; however, has a construction fence around it and will commence soon.- 32 replies

i had an occasion at work this past week to suggest some restaurants and discuss development around houston. i guess my passionate, detailed responses revealed more than i realized. i was asked how i know all this and how do i remember so many details. my answer was simply, "i enjoy this stuff.". it was as if certain people in the office didn't really know me and a light went on in their minds as i blathered on about this building and that establishment. although i've passed out haif cards to potential members and discussed the website on a regular basis, it wasn't until i "geeked" out that they made the connection. yes, haifers are different.

welcome back to texas. if i were you, i would find someone to go look at the house. there are a couple real lifeforms fans on the website who live in the area. one may be a realtor. hopefully, they will see the activity on this thread and respond to any questions you have.

the sight-line to the GRB is exciting. it hadn't occurred to me that surrounding hotels will have hundreds of rooms with a view of the pavilion. i hope the project will do well. there is still plenty of space to lease. i wonder if interested businesses are waiting to see how the rest do. -
Great article. Thanks for pointing it out.

scrap it. check out this interview with camille paglia (not a conservative). http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1285/is_/ai_55084046 i didn't intend to redirect the conversation from the election. let me reiterate: mccain - not so good obama - worse it's going to be an ugly election year. there are no easy answers, no solid expectations. -

2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: Obama (D-IL) vs. McCain (R-AZ)

yes, the public school system is a failure. concerning socialism; sweden doesn't exactly suck. whether obama has a socialist agenda or not, i'm not comfortable with his world view. mccain is no brainiac, but i'd rather have his world view in the white house. especially with the congress that we have. -

so, education is everything? vladimir putin has a degree in law and a doctorate in economics. benjamin franklin had NO formal education (honorary doctors of law at u of edinburgh) theodore kaczynski (unabomber) had an undergrad degree from harvard and a phd in mathematics from university of michigan just cuz you smart duden make u betta than the nex guy. i might add, ol ben was too busy gettin laid to lead and none of the above are on the ticket for this election. i'm just sayin'........the ability to communicate is way overrated. hitler did a bang up job communicating ideas (and he didn't do well in school). mccain - not so good obama - major mistake vote against obama! -

is it because they think people are idiots or because they want to capitalize on authenticity and appear to be authentic? the existence of places like this is evidence that the real thing is/was way better. a tuscan mansion in memorial or the woodlands lacks the very thing that inspires it. give me a musty hole in the wall with good music any day, or a four hundred year old building still serving its function that is clean as the day it was built. authenticity does not live at HOB or in a mega mansion in..........ok, i just can't say it. long live fitzgeralds!
