  1. Proximity is everything, no? My new work address is across the street from Baker Street Pub. Most memorable items from first few visits to Baker Street: cigarette smoke smell, restrooms… Click here to view the full review at Yelp.com

  7. put together some old skool, ultra lounge music (and extras) for radio haif this next week. check it out and let myself or the editor know you like or hate. k
  8. evidently, the demand is not there to justify the greater expense of a taller building. i'm anxious to see what will happen with the office buildings that are being torn down for new development at grogan's mill and timberloch. i hope it isn't street front retail. that would be one more kick in the pants (pants being the original idea of the woodlands). once retail fronts grogan's mill, near woodlands parkway........the dream is officially over for me. nondescript intersections are what makes the woodlands what it is. passing that intersection with a starbucks or mcdonalds visible........it becomes any other intersection. they've already moved a significant piece of art from that area. does the rendering of 4 waterway square have a curved facade? i like that.
  9. i base my opinion on the fact that the corner store at that intersection was robbed on a regular basis. i have no other evidence than that. there are rent controlled complexes in the woodlands that are nice. fawn ridge, near this intersection, is not so good.
  10. yes, there is room for at least one more midrise and some retail around the parking garages.
  11. actually, theniche just posted an announcement about "4 waterway square". this could mean that either the condo or the hotel tower are out of luck. they were just in the master plan. market forces may have changed the priority on one or both of those. btw, waterway avenue is a street. the woodlands waterway is the waterway itself. waterway square is the public space that most of these building are being built around.
  12. they've been clearing recently. lockmat asked about the lot in another thread. you scooped me niche. i love it! building looks cool. i can watch it go up from my perch at 24 waterway. this is next door, technically, to us oncology at woodloch forest and timberloch. i'm confused. the northwest corner of woodloch forest and the woodlands waterway itself already contains two class a buildings. gonna have to drive by today and check it out. i think the article is incorrect on the location description. OH! that's 4 "waterway square". this is across the waterway from the aforementioned buildings. still within my viewing range.
  13. good news for the area. bad news for those who have to park at the building. plenty of government assisted living across the street. worst activity is at night.
  14. do you know if pm realty owns the property and/or the buildings?
  15. i think the topic moved away from the title of the thread and over to 24 waterway. the first company moved in to the ninth floor this past weekend. interior of ninth floor by ziegler cooper.
  16. too bad they don't want to integrate the pavilion into the new hotel design. too much trouble, i'm sure. is it in bad shape (the pavilion)? never been there, don't know if it's worth saving.
  17. cool pictures. we love that around here. keep em comin'.
  18. i've created a playlist of songs i want to email for radiohaif. is m3u sufficient? i can't see how to reformat to mp3? any help is appreciated. thanks.
  19. this is so freakin' cool editor; and i'm diggin' the cards. i have them on my desk at work, in my car and in my shirt pocket when out in public. for the record, those who want cards could come to the GHPA tour of rice u and get a few. hint, hint........ i WILL have HAIF cards at the unofficial HAIF event.
