As If The Chip Implanted In My Head Were Not Enough
bachanon replied to crunchtastic's topic in HAIF on HAIF
i thought corporate logos on buildings were taboo (except for stadiums). if you become a paid subscriber to HAIF you can enjoy the site ad-free. -

i'm currently working in south shore harbour with a company that is moving their headquarters to the woodlands. 518 is a nightmare especially at 5pm. plenty of good place to eat, but a chore to get around. good thing you won't have to deal with it.

the sale price of my home from 2002 is exactly correct on zillow. what do you realtors and investors think of zillow? it's telling me my house is worth a lot more than i thought.

the location by grace seems to be more of an odd location. at least the shenandoah building is in a business park. i have a fear that corporations may want to move to the woodlands and not deal with the woodlands development company, thereby building midrises on all sides of town center. maybe not a fear, but more of an "OMG this place is out of control". one of the board members of TCID was quoted in the paper saying something like "it isn't growth that we're worried about, but having the infrastructure in place for what's coming."

i wondered when other office space developers would jump in in this area. the woodlands development co. has been able to restrict office space within its boundaries so that pent up demand would ensure success of each building. other developers getting in the game may spur a little more speculation by the woodlands development co.

i left the house around 5:55AM this particular mornin' and found the hardy toll road a strange and different place. not the speeds mind you, everyone still drives over 70 mph. the uber tall street lamps were invisible three or four ahead. they slowly faded into existence the closer i came to them (at 70 plus mph) and faded out in my rear view mirror. the light on the road before me was dimmed. the white/charcoal grey of the misty night was somewhat bizarre. just about the time i settled in to this unusual environment, i found my self turning east on the east loop. it was getting lighter from that direction and a pale blue aura enveloped the earlier fade of grey. i could look out into the neighborhoods off of the freeway and the fog looked freakin' blue! it was amazing and beautiful. by the time i arrived at 146 (headed towards league city via kemah/seabrook) the fog became a thick, bright white soup. this was a different animal altogether. all in all, it was dangerous, mysterious, beautiful. for a bit, i forgot how tired i was and how freakin early i was out in the world.

in the upper right hand corner are four star shaped mid rise dormitories called the towers. i lived in the one closest to the top in 1983/84. it's unfortunate that oral roberts let his son richard take over. oral roberts is a genuine man who truly believes (for better or worse) what he believes. unfortunately, his son lacks the good character of his father. it was obvious to many of us back in the eighties that richard and lindsay roberts hit the jackpot by being related to oral roberts......they never appeared to be too sincere.

The Woodlands Development Company Continues To Gobble
bachanon replied to woody_hawkeye's topic in Points North
the google map of the address is not contiguous with other woodlands property. i wonder why they are interested in it? maybe a homefinder center? -
exactly....you say potAto, i say potAHto.

i can think of eight multi-story parking garages in town center. i think the largest is between the pavilion and the marriott (the gold lot) or the anadarko parking garage. the anadarko garage was built to facilitate a second building i believe.
