Did anyone watch this show last Monday? When I heard that it was done by Nick Park of Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run fame, I decided it was worth a look-see.
I tell you, I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time! In fact, I would laugh so hard at one part that I would miss the start of the next one. I'm gonna tape it this time so as to not miss anything, and to enjoy it again.
It is on CBS tonight at 7pm local.

Not sure where I heard this. I have posted this before, but got no confirmation. How long has the current train been there? My understanding is that at least one of the trains running at Hermann came from Playland Park when it closed down.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Paris Hilton was let out from jail Thursday morning, just days after she began serving her 45-day sentence for violating probation, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said at a press conference.
Hilton, who has been fitted with an electronic monitoring device, will serve the rest of her sentence from home, said Steve Whitmore of the sheriff's department. She will now be under the supervision of the L.A. County Probation Department, Whitmore added.
She will be confined to her home for 40 days, the remainder of her 45-day sentence.
Whitmore said the decision to have Hilton serve out her sentence at home was for medical reasons.
Hilton had been serving at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California. She gets credit for five days served, having entered the facility late Sunday night and left Thursday morning, Whitmore said.
Hilton checked into the facility to begin serving a sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. The sentence, originally 45 days, was reduced to 23 for various reasons, including good behavior. Whitmore said with the reassignment to home confinement, the sentence is back to its full 45 days.

The snake is a Texas Rat Snake, one of the most beneficial animals in the State. I would never, ever kill a snake unless my life was in danger.

Before I left Houston, DB Horton was building townhomes on E TC Jester between Ella and the North Loop. I never counted, but I would guess they put out some 200 signs along that stretch of Jester, and some 20-30 in a group.
A big offender here in Bastrop is Lennar/Nuhome. These signs (and stakes) should be burned!

Just yesterday, I was loading my trailer with the cabinets I made for a house I am redoing, and I had the front door open all the time I was loading up. I came out later to put some tools on the trailer, and I closed the door, something I wouldn

No, they don't, Parrothead. They carry them, but they are not made fresh in that particular store.
Before I left Houston, that store was my favorite grocery to shop at. They have a great bakery, but don't do tortillas.

I always got my corn tortillas from Fiesta on N Shepherd. They made them in the store, and I would always feel to make sure the package was warm. Many a time I would eat a few on the way home.

Nothing will ever replace Mexican as my favorite fare. Besides, BBQ in this area has proved to be a mojor disappointment. That includes Lockhart, and Kreuz which had some of the worst Q I have ever eaten. With all that scrumptuous barbeque in Bastrop & Elgin, Mx food would be the last thing I would be thinking of! -

The Red Onion also has a salsa of crushed pineapple with limejuice and bits of (I believe) serrano in it. Red Onion is one of the very few things I miss about Houston.

Not sure about that restaurant, but my first taste of KFC was in the late 50s, maybe early 60s at a place called the Bluegrass Inn. It was a nice, dine-in restaurant on Gray across from Capt. John's and the bakery (Mrs. Baird's?).I remember some cafeteria downtown featured Kentucky Fried Chicken. The fare was all-you-can-eat, and you had your choice of either fried chicken or fried shrimp. I am pretty sure the price was $1.99 for whichever you chose. I can

If it's as good as the one on 183 in Austin, it should do well in Houston. Best ribs I ever had.

Can this be possible? It is 2pm on May 17th, and there is a cool breeze blowing outside. My A/C has been off for the past two days. This weather is unreal!
