Hey! Isn't that the Isetta reincarnated!

I agree, Coog. I doubt King's methods and message would go over today. He would probably be respected, but, much like Bill Cosby, people would tend to listen more to those like Jackson who want to blame others rather than being told to quit blaming others and do it themselves.MLK would crack some heads if he could see today's BLING! I really doubt this was his vision for African Americans. There is real poverty in the US today, and Poverty knows no color lines. But I think there is a tendency to call it poverty when the "haves" are eating filet mignon, and all the impoverished can afford is hamburger or pork chops.

Candy Bars
Baby Ruth is named for Babe Ruth.
O'Henry is named for Henry Aaron.
Now they have a candy bar named for John Kerry!

Did Rosie get an invite to the TomKat wedding? If not, do you think she will get revenge by outing Cruise?

Not sure I blame Clay as my impulse is to gag that silly dame every time she opens her mouth. She is annoying as all get out!
As to Rosie "outing" Clay, that was done a long time ago by Kathy Griffin, calling him "Clay Gaykin".

The City of Marble Falls tried this not long ago. They included places like McDonald's and other fast food places, as well as other stores that didn't necessarily cater to kids, but that were frequented by minors. They drew circles around each and every establishment, and the entire city limits was covered, meaning no sex offender could live in Marble Falls.
Now, I am all for very stiff sentences, but there has to be limits. People want to impose the death penalty for repeat offenders. That means someone could be executed for patting a couple of teens on the butt as they passed by. Criminal sexual abuse of a minor for sure, but the death penalty?

Actually, Red, the employers don't get off Scott Free. The city issues every one of them both a wink and a nod. And, why is Farmer's Branch giving a free pass to "illegal employers"? Why do the restaurant owners, home builders, landscapers and others not get penalized as co-conspirators? Aren't these cretins just as un-American, or un-Farmer's Branchian as the undocumented workers they employ? What part of ILLEGAL do they not understand? That'll show 'em!

I am a third GenTexan, and possibly a fourth, so naturally I am proud to be a Texan. Not only am I proud of this State, but I am Proud of Texans

There is an aspect of this case that I see as definately racist. How can you go after illegals as well as their landlords, and let employers go unpunished, and even avoid being charged.
City Council members unanimously approved fines for landlords who rent to illegal immigrants, making English the city's official language and allowing local authorities to screen suspects in police custody to check their immigration status. The council made the series of 6-0 votes without discussion Monday night and took comment from the public afterward. A proposal to penalize businesses that employ undocumented workers was not voted on during the meeting.
The first step in curbing illegal immigration is to cut off their source of income. But, nobody has the casabas to take that action.

Hmmmm, I wonder just how many plantation owners used that same argument regarding abolition before the Civil War?"It's very much against the very fiber of this nation," said Mike Ghouse, a homebuilder with a group called Foundation for Pluralism. -
Oftentimes, a thief will commit murder in the course of his crime, just as red light runners will often commit murder in the course of theirs.I rather have the law looking for thieves and murders than have them looking for people running redlights. -
They are debating using these cameras in Austin now. I hope it passes as this is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

There is yet another suit in the works. This one is a classless action lawsuit by sophomores from across the nation claiming Cohen stole their comedy style. Named as a co-defendant in the suit is Will Farrell, another actor claimed to have stolen the sophomoric humor style.

Man, what a game! I was on the edge of my seat the entire scoreless regulation game, and then had to try to keep relatively calm for the two scoreless overtime periods.

Not according to a former Notre Dame coaching legend!preston smith?Smith has to be the most ill informed governor Texas has ever had. At a banquet honoring former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Hank Stram, Smith made an attempt at a joke that left everyone scratching their heads. When Smith realized something was wrong, he turned to Stram and asked,

None of the above!

Michael Richards flips in standup stunner, apologizes on 'Letterman'

Does anyone else find it a tad ironic that Richards apologized to the Black community for his racist remarks by going on the radio show of Jesse Jackson, himself a renowned racist?
