  1. Allbritton's had THE best fried chicken. I think they put paprika in the batter.
  2. They should put a toll road along old Hempstead and let them what use it pay for it.
  3. And it doesn't come with directions, either. Durnit!
  4. My dad went to Red Lion way back when with some business associates. He was on his way to or from the bathroom when he somehow wandered into the kitchen. He said it was so dirty in there that he wouldn
  5. There was a Food Lion at Antoine and Pinemont. It was HEB until a few months ago, and now it is closed down.
  6. I'm guessing a Friday night at The Gold Cup is completely out of the question, huh?
  7. Don't forget to take your golf clubs!
  8. If you feel scandalous, then how about the Chicago Black Sex?
  9. You know, there was some connection here that was running around in the back of my mind, and I think I finally know what it is. 13. I am positive that Gulfgate was before Northline, maybe by some 5-10 years.
  14. I, too think Gulfgate was the first. Maybe there is a distinction between a shopping center and a mall? If they are the same, then I think Gulfgate was the first. The last time I was by Palm Center was well over 20 years ago. It was all boarded up and resembled a war zone.
  15. Tradewinds on W 34th just off 290 is still there. However, it is closed and for sale.
  16. If the slab cracks apart, I guess you could blame it on the chapter about Moses and his parting ways.
  17. I picked Tahiti, but I really meant Tahitian Village in Bastrop in a house overlooking Pine Forest Golf course and the miles beyond. Where my place is now is on Cedar Creek south of 304 and pretty much isolated. But I wouldn
  18. I remember seeing it a few times, but it was rare that we had occasion to go out 290, so my memory was limited and sketchy. It wasn
