  1. Yes, they've had that for a while and have said the name is changing. http://4april2013.com/
  2. Took some pics when they demo'ed but don't know what's coming in.
  3. New bike stations have been placed at: Museum District, Ensemble HCC, Downtown Transit Center, Main Street Square, and UHD stations. And the old Market Square Park one is pretty close to Preston.
  4. Dang, it's $65 now. It was $50 during Phase One.
  5. Yes, with Phase Two they're shifting from 90 minute checkout to 60 minutes. I see it the other way around, though. Need more stations in Midtown, Montrose, and East End so that people can check back in. If you're going to Toyota Center, I would recommend a check-in at George R Brown. Anyway, you could use a bcycle for a small grocery trip. I've borrowed one before when my bike was out of commission.
  6. Chase and Wells Fargo face roughly opposite directions, so you can see pretty much everything from those two. The only other high public floor I know of is the Bank of America building, which looks down Allen Parkway. Wells Fargo's is called a "Sky Lobby." There are two Sky Lobbies at different levels, and yes they are open to public. Can ride up from the tunnel level, actually.
  7. Since the Marriott offers room service to Humble Tower residents currently, I see no reason why they wouldn't also offer room service to Springhill Suites.
  8. Phoenicia needs to sell food too. Also you might be surprised how much we downtown yuppies eat out. I'm really lazy.

    JetBlue Airlines

For the next few days, they're selling fares in September and October under $100 round trip all-in, between Houston and Boston. Has to be certain days, but impressive all the same.
  10. Because lockmat was drawing a comparison between the spending habits of a hotel visitor vs. a resident.
  11. Will the hotel maintain the same 100% occupancy that the residential maintains? Dubious.
  12. I don't get it, why change it to a hotel when it's got a permanent waitlist for residential? Did they think of raising prices?
  13. Yeah, it was that way on Tuesday too. Going to be that way the rest of the week, I'm sure.
  14. Wish this was a higher resolution scan so I could actually see what it says.
  15. We rode out to that Big Woodrow's in Galleria area a few months ago.
  16. http://houston.culturemap.com/newsdetail/03-26-13-another-new-hotel-for-downtown-795-million-buy-to-clear-historic-building-for-guests/?utm_source=sf_twitter
  17. No, the Les Givrals space is on Congress while the coffeeshop is on Main Street.
  18. There was a new announcement that the Anvil crew is opening a tequila and mezcal bar at 310 Main, the old space for The Office.
  19. Samagon is right, when drivers are leaving a parking lot they pull all the way up to the street. If you were riding that sidewalk, you're in some pain. Not going to get any justice from the police or insurance company either, because bikes are supposed to be in the street.
  20. Doesn't matter, when an entity requests a variance (which is an exception to what the code requires) it is a good time to get some concessions such as fixing a sidewalk ROW issue, especially one which would be easy to fix.
  21. Well since the average customer doesn't consult PDFs before pulling in to a space, perhaps it would be good to install some parking stops to prevent them from pulling across the sidewalk. That's what I asked Morgan Weber about, and he said he'd be willing to do so. Which would fix the ROW problem on Arlington which you claim does not exist.
  22. If the sidewalk doesn't conflict with the parking, then why are the lines for the parking spaces painted directly across the entire sidewalk? Look at my pictures, posted earlier.
  23. Those three all sell it retail. D'Amico's is good but a little pricy imo, and H&H is distant from me. Fabio's probably a better deal.
