  1. Project Name: FM 518 Pearland Location Address: 9300 West Broadway Street Scope of Work: New construction of a shell retail building and associated site improvements including paving, utilities, sidewalks and landscaping. Design Firm Name: Heights Venture Architects https://braunenterprises.com/property/pearland-retail/
  2. I was searching Ebay or old TMC stuff and came across a rare? matchbook for Kaplan's Delicatessen Restaurant located at 5225 Almeda Road. How did this place compare to the original in the Texas Medical Center on South Main? (Wait, Kaphan’s Restaurant At 7900 South Main is run by a different owner?) Did anyone ever eat here?
  3. I was browsing the newspaper The Bellaire Texan dated January 14, 1987 and came across a business ad for Sizzler Restaurant located at 1703 Old Spanish Trail. Did anyone ever eat here? I know Sizzler had several locations throughout the city.
  4. I was browsing the newspaper The Thresher dated February 21, 1974 and came across a business ad for Village Inn Pancake House located at 1705 Old Spanish Trail. Did anyone ever eat here? I believe this was their 2nd location? Their first was located on Bellaire Blvd.
  5. Pears! and I guess those are sound barriers for the neighborhood?
  6. I was browsing the newspaper The Southern Citizen dated June 7, 1954 and came across a business ad for Paladium Club located at 1000 Old Spanish Trail. Cool find!
  7. I'm looking at TMC's website and I see only a handful of billable surface lots that remain. Looking back at historic photos of the medical center, these surface lots get developed into tall buildings. One day, the TMC "SM" surface lot will house a building. Just depends when they run out of space and need to build something. Even a parking garage would be more beneficial than a surface lot. It would hold more cars.

  10. This is the 3rd office building on that block. Looks like the building was once home to the architecture firm A. Carroll Brodnax. This building, a long with the three others, will be developed into something larger within the next 5 to 10 years. The land is far too valuable to have dilapidated, old, office buildings. 11. This odd office building is the 2nd of 3rd on that Almeda block. One day, I'd say within 5 to 10 years, a developer will buy all three small office buildings and will create a large plat for multifamily. Who is the tenant I wonder?
  12. There are three businesses across the street from the VA campus that look out of place. I wonder if someone would have buy-out the three parcels to create a larger plat for multifamily? The look of this building is a little bland. I wonder if a remodel is in the future? Website: https://www.bryanlaboratory.com/
  13. Noticed this on Loopnet. Blu Ox is handling the leasing. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/8017-S-Main-St-Houston-TX/22821598/
  14. Retail strip center located at South Main Street & Murworth Drive. Notable tenants include Lennys Grill & Subs, Hertz, Boost Mobile, St. Joseph Medical Center Cancer Center, and Medical Center Pharmacy. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/9150-Main-St-Houston-TX/24669645/
  15. This small retail center is on the corner of South Main Street & Kirby Drive. Tenants include AT&T, Kolache Factory, and Smashburger. Leasing is done by Gary Lewis GITP TX Realty. Loopnet listing: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/7811-Main-St-Houston-TX/18826044/

  18. Trees are lining the property. This makes trees being planted at TMC3, Levit Green, and now the BCM McNair Campus. Elevator screens?
