    I was browing Ebay for TMC stuff and came across this matchbook for Hector's Club located at At 6500 South Main St. Did anyone ever go here? Can we date this?

    I was browsing Ebay for TMC stuff and noticed an motor inn called RoadRunner Motor Inn located at 8500 South Main St. I searched HAIF and could not find a thread about this so I thought I would post it. Can we date this?

    I was browsing Ebay for TMC stuff and I noticed this matchbook containing businesses for both Gaido's Cafe and End-O-Main Liquor Store. With help from @Ross it seems that, according to a 1942 city directory, Gaido's Cafe and End-O-Main Liquor Store was both owned by Michi Gaidos. I thought Gaido's was located at 9200 South Main? Was this the original location by any chance? Or store number 2? One company is called Gaido's Restaurant, the other is called Gaido's Cafe. Very cool find!

    I was browsing Ebay for TMC stuff and I noticed this matchbook containing businesses for both End-O-Main Liquor Store and Gaido's Cafe. The matchbook indicates the address of 6800 Block of Main & Bellaire. With help from @Ross we narrowed it down to 6810 S. Main. The 1942 city directory indicated the End-O-Main Liquor Store was owned (or managed) by Michi Gaidos. Did anyone ever shop here?

    I was searching EBay for TMC stuff and I noticed some old matchbooks from The Doctor's Club. I researched this club through case law text. The club was involved in a lawsuit due to not paying taxes, or something about club fees. A shorty brief from the TMC library: The Doctors' Club began in 1954 as a social club for doctors and dentists and their families at The Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The Doctor's Club also hosted medical lectures and various medical groups. The Doctor's Club closed in 2005. https://archives.library.tmc.edu/the-doctors-club Open Corporates indicates the registered address at the time of formation was 1133 MD Anderson Blvd. The law case text indicates the club was housed in the Texas Medical Center Library. Jones Library Building in the Texas Medical Center. The physical facilities of the club consist of a main dining room with wings that can be used separately, a lounge and bar, kitchen, and manager's office. On the same floor of the Library Building, outside plaintiff's premises, are an auditorium seating approximately 600 persons, two small conference rooms and restroom facilities. Plaintiff's hours are from 11 A. M. to 11 P. M. with two exceptions. It is open until midnight on Saturdays and is closed on Tuesdays. Plaintiff serves lunch each day, except Sundays, between the hours of 11 A. M. and 2 P. M. Dinner may be ordered until 9:15 P. M.     I was browsing Ebay for TMC stuff and came across this matchbook for an old drive-in called Dryden Drive-In located at 1818 Dryden Rd. Groceries - Beer - Ice Cream - Crushed Ice. I've never heard of this place. Was it located in the retail strip center (or shopping center) that was located across from the Medical Towers? Is there a date to this business? 1960s I would assume?

    I was looking around Ebay for TMC related things and came across these old matches. One of the descriptions says the Sylvia C. Clarke matchbooks are from the 1940s. What type of business is this exactly? A seductive woman, and then dogs? I assume it's an adult club. Cool find whatever this is.

    I was browsing The Texan, a local Bellaire newspaper dated September 7, 1983 and noticed this listing for Shamrock Professional Building At 2210 Maroneal St. Shamrock Prof. Bldg. 2210 Maroneal (Behind Shamrock Hilton) Looks like the professional building was demolished and The Maroneal multifamily complex was built at 2222 Maroneal St. Any pictures of the old building?

    I was reading more of that local Southwestern Times Houston magazine. The issue was dated Thursday, April 25, 1946 and I saw a business listing for "Old Main" Dancing located One Block South of Bellaire Blvd. on Old Main St. Road. Does anyone know anything about this place? Very cool find! Never heard of it before.

    I was reading more of that local Southwestern Times Houston magazine. The issue dated February 21, 1946 had a business listing for Warehouse Liquor Stores with two locations. Location number 1 was located at 2012 Louisiana St. and Location number 2 was located at 6630 South Main St. Cool history. I wonder what happened with the business. Was this located in a retail strip center? Maybe a stand alone warehouse?

    There is activity here. Two trailers, two generators, and two portable toilets. Looked at the city permits and noticed a recent plumbing permit.
