  1. I'm no longer passing the intersection of San Felipe @ Post Oak. :crook: I got laid off from the architecture firm that was located on Bering & San Felipe. Blvd. Place is a nice project. Too bad I don't pass by it daily. Gene, Right. They should clear off all the old bldgs and site materials. Looks bad. Edit: I like what COH has done with the San Felipe project. The street lights are very cool looking and the bus stops are nice. The project on the SEC? of San Felipe @ Sage has finally finished. Brick building, I think it's a car wash? Nice bldg. for a car wash
  2. The retail exteriors remind me of the Highland Village site. All upscale clean retail outlets. HV > All
  3. Now open!! Should we have a Willow Meadows/Westbury/Meyerland/Marilyn Estates meet at the new Burger King? ha
  4. I've noticed a couple things recently. Landscape on the corner is nice. They have like 5 individual 'landscapes'. A lot of the lighting is done and the signs say "Open Soon" By the drive thru, they have a lit up sign that says "Wifi" That's pretty cool, free Wifi in a Burger King. Can't wait to start getting fat, for a cheap price
  5. Hi Native Son. Nope, I don't know of anything. Oh yeah, my mother was speaking about this project. She thinks it will be apartments or condos. I used to go to school there. ha.
  6. Native Son, Good deal. I've told a couple people your information. A couple Burger King signs went up today. It's so weird having a Burger King right on the corner.
  7. This is true. I don't see why the tower would be in place for just a Burger King. I do not eat Burger King. When I eat fast food, I eat someplace else. S. Post Oak to West Belfort there's a ton of fast food places. Or Travel to Bissonnet & ? (Episcopal High School) and go to Wendy's. I guess this will open my experience to the whole menu at Burger King. Ha Edit: There was a Burger King on S. Post Oak/Willow a while back? "Westbury Square memories" http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/index.php?showtopic=3613&st=30
  8. Now what's up with the addition on the back & sides of the Shell station? The color scheme on the back looks like the new Burger King's color scheme! Could you imagine if there was a Burger King opening right there? Edit: I could be wrong. I need to go in and ask what's going on. A small video game arcade could be it too. ha
  9. I drove on it today! It's very smooth and new. Yay! (Too bad the architecture firm I'm working with just cut my hours in half)
  10. Not about the project Blvd Place. Wow, it's finally happening! 610 & San Felipe is being reconstructed and repaved! When it's finished, it's going to be so awesome. I heard on the morning radio that east? bound lane of San Felipe @ 610 will be closed until August 24th.
  11. Awesome. I'll be sure to research them. Thanks for the quick reply. I just went to the front page on their website. I would pick them over Office Depot.
  12. Hello All. The firm I work for is in dire need of a new Shop Drawing stamp. We have both the original stamp and a digital version (.dwg and .PDF) to make the mold/copy. Anybody know where I can get a nice stamp made? A coworker told me Office Depot, I just think their work will be generic and not be as good as a specialized stamp/seal maker. All help would be appreciated. PS, I don't know where to create this thread. It's not "off topic" it's about architects and an architecture firm. Edit: The firm is located in Southwest Houston.
  13. Very sweet. Road construction on San Felipe by The Four Leaf Towers is done! I think it's now done from Sage & San Felipe all the way down to Post Oak & San Felipe. I hate the road on San Felipe, that's right next to Levcor's Post Oak Plaza, it needs to be repaved and reconstructed! Any ideas if that will be worked on next?
  14. I can see the difference on the roads. What section is bumpier? I think it's a lot better than what it was.
  15. Anybody know the design architect or arch. of record for this H-E-B? A coworker and I were speaking of this today. Stella Link Library and this H-E-B has the same 'design' almost.
  16. Sweet, I get to drive San Felipe again. Wonder if i'll visibly notice any change to the roads.
  17. Galleria-Area Intersection Closed By Alana Gomez Dong Thursday, May 28, 2009 UPDATED: 7:02 am CDT May 28, 2009 HOUSTON -- A normally busy Galleria-area intersection will be traffic-free for a few days, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday. WATCH IT: Busy Intersection Shut Down For Days The intersection of Post Oak Boulevard and San Felipe Street is closed until 5 a.m. Monday. The closure is part of a project to improve San Felipe Street, eventually having three lanes going both directions and a turn lane. John Breeding, president of the Uptown Houston District, said completing the construction over the next couple of days is better than spreading it out over time. "We can go in, make all the improvements very quickly and get out of there" said Breeding "If not, it takes 12 to 15 days spread out over six weekends." But some businesses are worried the detours will also re-route their customers. "Our biggest crowd is lunch, and if they have a hard time getting in or out and they only have 30 minutes, it will really hurt," one business manager said. Other drivers said finding detours will be difficult. "I know the area pretty good, but I just don't know it well enough to actually try and get around it," said Walter Evans, who uses the intersection regularly. Breeding suggested using the recently-constructed Post Oak Lane as a detour. Copyright 2009 by Click2Houston.com. All rights reserved. 18. Anybody know what's going on this week? I think there is a closure of San Felipe @ Post Oak from 05/27 thru 06/? I think I will be using Chimney Rock, instead of the detour route on San Felipe.
  19. Not about the project Blvd Place. What is the latest information about the road construction on San Felipe from 610 to Sage? I noticed by the old Eatzi's, there is newly paved concrete. Lots of entrances to retail stores have the orange cones. Are they replacing pipes there? Edit: Ohh yeah! Last week I noticed the "Street Sign" at San Felipe & Post Oak was missing. The hanging facy street sign. Will it be put back, after construction? That was so cool.
  20. I'm confused. You're speaking of Highway 6? Highway 6 isn't anywhere near what i'm speaking of. 14515 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079 http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1...=1&ct=image where is Campbell, Bingle, Voss, and Wirt? The strip center I'm speaking of is 'right before' you get to the 610 curve from Katy Freeway. Highway 6 is 1 mile from 610 and I-10? Edit: Golden Oaks Center 14515 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079 Yes, that is at highway 6. The center I'm speaking of is not.
  21. Feel sorry for the developers on this project. Nobody has moved in for months! It's been vacant for like 8 months? Maybe it's the color scheme? Golden Oaks Center 14515 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079 http://www.loopnet.com/property/15574717/14515-Katy-Freeway/ Ok to delete this, I found the information I was looking for.
