GreenStreet: Mixed-Use Development At 1201 Fannin St.
Houston19514 replied to MontroseNeighborhoodCafe's topic in Downtown
Don't know. I've been trying to get by there to take a closer look on the ground... But, at least according to our the most recent pictures in this thread, the outside is not even done. That is why I say that common sense tells us that the hotel is not looking like it will be open in less than 2 months. -
There is a lot of great Houston scenery in the new TV series "Married to Medicine Houston" (a dreadful reality series... I watch it solely to enjoy the Houston scenery) Bravo TV Fridays, 8 central time.

The 288 contract was openly bid. It was not only open to groups of private overseas investors. That is a flat-out false claim. If you wanted to bid on it, you could have. Would it really be so difficult to provide a summary? Again, I thought you wanted a real discussion here. (I also followed your earlier suggestion to Google HCTRA illegal. In the first two pages of results, there was nothing except the complaints about toll violation collection procedures. Nothing. If you truly have stories of nefarious activities of the Harris County Toll Road Authority, one would think you would be eager to actually share them. And, by the way, you have indeed said things that are verifiably false.

They don't show any in Austin on their website, so I presume they don't have any. San Antonio does have a few (3) HEB Markets (and, like Houston, only one Central Market). I count 15 of the hybrid HEB Market stores in Houston.
-
Because in Houston they have developed the hybrid HEB Market stores, that include some of the features of Central Market. We have a whole bunch of those. And I don't think any of their other markets have those hybrid stores.

Doing some research would be a good idea. As with most everything you've posted in this thread, you don't seem to have a clue. HCTRA does not have the right to manage the HOT lane on 290, either now or in the future. It is now operated by Metro and as far as I know, will continue to be operated by Metro, under agreement with TxDOT. (and by the way, I've looked at one of the links you've previously provided supposedly proving HCTRA's illegal/shady activities. What a joke.) Do some research and take off the tin-foil hat.

Club Nomadic, a roaming 62,500-square-foot nightclub, broke ground Nov. 29 ahead of the Super Bowl. It will be located north of Washington Avenue at the Sawyers Yard art district. The three-level entertainment center will host events Feb. 2-4 at 2121 Edwards St., including a Bruno Mars concert Feb. 3, according to a release.

Isn't that what Shell calls their "woodcreek campus"? I don't think that has been abandoned. On the contrary, that is where they are moving the One Shell Plaza employees.- 172 replies

Actually, I have worked construction. But that is beside the point. One does not have to have worked construction to know this is not what a hotel looks like 2 months before opening. LOL So book yourself a room at the Hotel Alesandra for Super Bowl. Knock yourself out. -

Actually, common sense tells me it does not look anywhere near done. It is not even completely closed-in yet. -

sooooooo..... it won't be done in time for Super Bowl. What's your point? -
Within the past 2 weeks, they have installed at least one jetway on the new Terminal C North.

Pretty sure Whole Foods has explicitly stated that this is slated to be a Whole Foods, not a 365. Have that changed direction?- 549 replies

I don't think you're missing anything. Not only is Ritz Carlton not part of Xenia Hotels, it appears that while Xenia currently owns a number of different flags, including Marriott flags, there are no Ritz-Carltons among them. -

Former McNair Interests Site For Sale At 3200 Post Oak Blvd.
Houston19514 replied to editor's topic in Going Up!
And, a Texans practice facility will almost certainly have at least two football fields and likely more (Their current facility appears to have four, three outdoor and one indoor.) So they would be effectively taking 1/2 or more of the available space just for football fields. -

It's sounding more like a rumor than news. ;-) -
Technically, the plan is for the purple line to go to Hobby Airport. The plan also has the green line meeting up with the purple line (I think at a transit center), as shown in the map in the CSPWAL's post above.) Interestingly, the HGAC 2040 transportation plan includes rail to Bush Intercontinental but not to Hobby.
