A quick rundown of the tourney from the Chronicle, as well as America's chances of repeating

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headli...ts/4863265.html

Just announced earlier today, Pat Onstad will join Dwayne De Rosario representing Canada against Costa Rica tommorow. Also, reppin' the US, Ricardo Clark and Brian Ching. H-Town all up in this one. As the first game's going on, Dynamo have their first ESPN2 match of the season against Colorado, so there'll be lots of replacements to go around.

In terms of the schedule, including the ones at Reliant Stadium, and the US games:

Group play: A

Teams: Costa Rica, Haiti, Canada, Guadeloupe

June 6 at Miami

Costa Rica vs. Canada, 6 p.m.; Guadeloupe vs. Haiti, 8 p.m.

June 9 at Miami

Canada vs. Guadeloupe, 6 p.m.; Haiti vs. Costa Rica, 8 p.m.

June 11 at Miami

Costa Rica vs. Guadeloupe, 6 p.m.; Haiti vs. Canada, 8 p.m.

Great games out at Reliant Stadium tonight. Over 68,000 in attendance, Honduras beats Cuba 5-0, two Cuban players defected before the game and one is probably somewhere in Houston, Mexico beats Panama 1-0, though Panama hit the post twice.

The U.S.' next game is Saturday afternoon from Foxborough, Mass. They're on a scoring rampage, undefeated with Bradley as coach so far, outscoring their opponents 7-0 while not conceding a goal, and Houston's Ching scored in the T&T game.

Mexico will be playing on Sunday afternoon again at Reliant. All games from now on are elimination games.

The champs will be crowned a week from Sunday

someday i hope the US plays Mexico in a competive match here. every year it seams like the matches are set up so we can only play them in the finals, and those haven't been here for the Gold Cup.

for those of you that are into sports, but think soccer is boring, you should check out reliant on sunday- it'll be nuts. wish i could go but i'm working...

The USA/Canada - Ching/Clark vs. DeRo/Onstad match is gonna be on Telefutura tomorrow night at 6pm. But since the Dynamo play Chivas USA at 8pm on national tv as well (ESPN2), UH/Dynamo are having a massive watch party outside the stadium at 6 for the US.

The Mexico/Guadeloupe game will be on Tefefutura at 9pm. My guess is that there'll be a watch party outside Robertson Stadium for the 2nd half of that match as well, but since America's team's playing, plus four Dynamo stars are squaring against each other, that would obviously take precedence for Houston in particular

I honestly could not watch nor care about soccer and I hought it was boring, untill I went to ck out a Dynamo game last year and the crowd was crazy. I was lost because I knew nothing about soccer, but since then I now see how soccer is a real competitive sport. Had some family got to the Mex-CRC game, and they said it was an amazing atmosphere. There are some really talented players across the world in compare to the MLS.

GO DYNAMO!!!

Did anyone catch the final game today? Soldier stadium was PACKED (more with mexican fans though) to watch U.S. vs Mexico. However, even though the U.S. was playing an "away" game at home, they were able to overcome a halftime deficit and score two goals in the second half to win.

Hometown boy, Brian Ching, aided in the first goal by drawing a penalty kick that Landon Donovan put away. The goal tied the game at 1-1. Not much after that, the U.S. took the lead after Benny Feilhaber connected on an amazing volley from just outside the 18 yard box. It was a fun game to watch and definitely had plenty of drama. This is definitely good news for our young team. We're gaining experience and playing well overall with very young talent. This is good news for the upcoming 2010 World Cup. Get excited about U.S. soccer!

Dude, that was beautiful! Feinhaber ROCKED that shot, didn't he?!

BTW, Miss USA was there cheering the US on, partly to avenge getting booed in Mexico during the Miss Universe pagent. Perfect revenge I must say. USA/Mexico is no question the biggest rivalry in North American sports.

Here's the goal rundown...
