capnmcbarnacle
Thanks for the updates Jax. That facade/glass looks sleek.I predict the cranes will move up over the weekend. They're about to finish a floor and look like they'd run into the lower crane with then next floor.
LTAWACS
I wonder what the max height of this thing will be if we include the cranes at their highest. Let's also hope the rain will not stop them.
ricco67
FYI: I saw a crane section parked near the site. I guess they plan on lifting it this weekend. Should make for an interesting show tomorrow morning/this weekend.

citykid09
It's really starting to make an impact now.I wonder if it will have an impact on the signature skyline view? Or any of the views of downtown.
Houston19514
I wonder if it will have an impact on the signature skyline view? Or any of the views of downtown. If by signature skyline view, you mean the view from Allen Parkway/Memorial, probably not much if any impact. From almost any other view, I think it will have a pretty strong impact.

LTAWACS
Or maybe it's a phantom floor.

Thanks. Two things. i have been waiting for this tower with bated breath. It will be my new favorite if it is anything like the rendering. Do you think that the public can go to the upper balcony?? AND how i wish i could get a SimCity to look like that second pix.! m.
AtticaFlinch
To answer my own question:http://www.mainplace...20and%20WF.htmlhttp://www.mainplace...ial%20View.htmlThat second photo is odd, and I've just realized why. They completely redesigned the freeways and the areas outside downtown. The actual downtown part is Houston, but the rest of that rendering is somewhere else entirely. Jax
Well, there are other buildings that allow people into their sky lobbies (Chase, Wells Fargo), so maybe it's not totally out of the question. Although maybe there are more safety concerns with a balcony that high or something.
citizen4rmptown
Months ago, when this project went online, i remember reading that this would be Downtown Houston's First 21st Century Architectural Icon. And i couldn't agree more, now. (weren't the former Enron towers built in '03? if so, then maybe this may be up for debate)
