Howard Huge
Just thought about this.... Because of its orientation, MainPlace should have a huge impact on the skyline view inside Minute Maid Park, especially with the sky garden facing the ballpark and being lighted at night. Too bad no one will see it though since the Astros will probably stink this season... Seems like all of our teams lately.
Jax
You can finally see Main Place from the Rice library. Discovery Tower too.
King Owl
Taken this morning using my Blackberry phone, from my office building. You can see the taller floor that's been built, but what's hard to see from my lousy picture is that it appears the the tall columns in the taller floor are made of steel, not concrete like the rest. I'm assuming the steel will be removed later once the rest of the structure is in place around it.
PAC
the tall, concrete columns you are seeing are a double-height floor that resides under the sky garden. There are angled concrete columns that support the transitioning structure that exists to create the notch in the building.

ricco67
They just raised the crane today by at least 3 sections. Couldn't stick around to watch. That made me sad.

mfastx
Wow I am impressed with the glass! I has a certain architecture that is similar to cities like Vancouver or Seattle. (Which have great skylines IMO)

lockmat
Wow, chase tower is...tall. Also, you know Houston's gotta a decently tall skyline when almost 50 stories doesn't seem tall enough. Today:

lockmat
I know I should just wait for it to top out, but it's amazing how from certain angles, this building just doesn't look as tall as it actually is. The second picture was a great view.
