Houston Retail
I stopped by there tonight, the store looks great! They are going to open and try things out before they have a grand opening, but check them out. Its on the corner of Main and Walker in the Commerce Towers. Make sure you give them your support! editor
Good to see another business trying to make a go of downtown. That's reason enough to stop in once.

The Great Hizzy!
Is the Stallone's open, too? If so, I'll stop in today for lunch.
midtown 4.2
Tropioca also has a location in Midtown . . . in the MetroBank mini mall (next to Pho Saigon). It's pretty good, not bad for a mom & pop operation.
editor
I've seen the one on Westherimer. Always seemed to be very popular. Hope this new location does as well.

Houston Retail
Unfortunatly, Stallones is stuck in permit hell. Its unfortunate because they actually have to start paying rent soon even though they wont be making money.
jt16
Where is the permitting process stuck? It's hard to imagine some of the other places around town can pass the permitting process, but Stallone's is struggling.
Guest danax
Its on the corner of Main and Walker in the Commerce Towers. Make sure you give them your support!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Thanks for the info. Nice location. I'll be checking them out.
eLy383Inc
Actually, the one on Sheperd is Teahouse and the one on Milam is Tropioca. They both sell the same thing, different companies. Actually, Teahouse is opening one on Main @ Commerce near UHD. They both would be a nice addition.
bachanon
that's great! that means that two tapioca tea businesses are opening downtown. SWEET!
The Great Hizzy!
Well, I went by Stallone's anyway and construction is clearly lagging behind Tropioca. However, there is enough work going on, and at such an intensity, to suggest that the permitting hassles probably won't last for too much longer (at least, one can only hope). There is some sort of place called Tapioca, Rice Pudding or something weird. My fiance and I have noticed it a few times and we kept wondering if the place sold pudding. Maybe I should give it a try. largeTEXAS
By the way, Corner Bakery and Topz should be starting construction soon. That'll give downtown even more of a boost.
