bachanon
looks so "urban". ; do more jax, do more! get some of the business fronts with people walking by. there are so many funky places that need business. i'd hate to lose them. skyphen
Great pictures! Such energy, such life... looks so vibrant! I love to see Houston photos... the places we know and love... with people in them! Lower Westheimer (The Curve) and the Montrose... Fairview, around West Alabama near the Menil and UST is really pretty... I love that part of the neighborhood. Downtown nightlife shots would be awesome, too. Rice Village people-watching, and on and on (hint, hint Edited November 23, 2007 by skyphen

Jax
vibrant isn't the first word that comes to mind. It's supposed to show the contrast that can be seen in virtually every part of Houston. Any place which is vibrant also has some ugly randomness mixed in as well. Edited November 24, 2007 by Jax
sidegate
people walking.....zero foot setbacks.....you sure this is Houston :-)? great pictures!i hope they fix the sidewalks along that stretch of Westheimer like they're doing on West Alabama just east of Shepherd. In some spots they're a real mess & and an eyesore.

Jax
Yeah the sidewalks are falling apart in parts of this area, and seeing how they are used more often than a lot of sidewalks in Houston, it would be nice to see them fixed up. Any place which is vibrant also has some ugly randomness mixed in as well. That's what I was thinking when I came to that picture - quintessential Houston! If not for the randomness, I would think I was in Any Big City, USA. Love it or hate it, the interesting juxtapositions of Houston grow on you... like mold. dbigtex56
Great shots, Jax.Ever go on the balcony on EJ's patio? You can get some great views from up there, too.
