Popular Post hindesky
"A Houston developer is planning a 35-story condominium high-rise near Memorial Park that is expected to be the first St. Regis -branded residential community in Texas. Satya Development reached an agreement with Marriot International to bring the St. Regis Residences brand to Houston on a 3-acre site overlooking Buffalo Bayou off Memorial Drive just outside of River Oaks. Satya will develop the tower according to the specifications outlined in a franchise agreement with Marriott International. Marriott will provide property management to the luxury community. St. Regis Residences are not hotels, but bring a hotel-like level of amenities and services to condominium communities, often in major metropolitan areas such as Boston, Miami and Chicago." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/st-regis-residences-condo-memorial-park-houston-18538199.php

Can't wait to see the renderings. This ^^^ It makes me wonder how many are kicking tires to enter Houston.. Is Waldorf Astoria Residences snooping around? Our high-end condo market seems to be gaining serious momentum. If Pre-Sales do well and construction starts here, the Ritz Carlton Residences, and the Birdsall (Auberge Collections @ The RO) it'll be really interesting to watch the aftermath effects. Houston changing in front of our eyes.
Popular Post CREguy13
Marriott Development's Linkedin page posted this render yesterday on the new St. Regis Residences in Houston and linking the Realty News Report article. Can't confirm if this is a 'placeholder' render of an existing St. Regis property or if this is Pickard's design for Houston. That appears to be the Buffalo Bayou bank so I'm guessing this is it. Reminds me a bit of Museum Tower in Dallas, and definitely looks like it belongs in Miami. While I'd prefer more elegance in River Oaks area, I do like this. Especially if this leads to a higher standard of architecture along Buffalo Bayou in the coming years. I'm not familiar with every design of other St. Regis Residences. How does the design of the Houston location, which may be located at 100 Asbury Place (100 Asbury Pl) or 102 Asbury Place (102 Asbury Pl), compare to others? LosFeliz
It definitely fits the St Regis model which is surprisingly modern for their residences (Sunny Isles Beach, Miami, Boston, Chicago).

Thanks for the update, but if possible, let's try to stick with posting about this topic: The St. Regis Residences and the other proposed development planned on the 0 Asbury Place parcel. As for the property you referenced, that's located at 5440 Memorial Dr. There is a topic to post about it (which was also mentioned several posts up) and what will be built in its place: https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/52601-5440-memorial-dr/ Edited January 13 by IntheKnowHouston
RockyDijohn
Does anyone have an idea of the price range for the condominiums? I suppose it will have a mix of 1,2 and maybe even 3 bedroom options as well as a penthouse or two. Too early to say?

Very VERY different market from Houston. My experience is top-level, high-end condos in our market go for about $900 to $1,000 sqft. Maybe a little less for lower floors, a little more for higher floors. Doing a quick scan of listings at the Huntington and the River Oaks confirms this. Don't forget to add at least $1/month/sqft for dues.

astrohip
Wow, is that legit? Is this the first time we've seen that drawing, or did I miss it previously? I knew it was gonna be high, like 30+ stories, but don't recall seeing the actual design. Gorgeous building. I'm really partial to mostly glass wall condos, with only balconies interrupting the flow. They look great from the outside, and even better from inside. I'm really happy where we are, but if I was looking, that would move to #1 on my list.
