hindesky Posted 14 hours ago Share Posted 14 hours ago I talked with the supervisor doing the asbestos abatement, he said demo would start on Monday 28th on certain buildings, the old Artist Collective building still has people in it so it's likely to be last on the demo list. AAR Incorporated (AAR Inc.) obtained several demolition permits for the following properties today: 4102 Caroline St 4108 Caroline St 4114 Caroline St 4116 Caroline St Details from the permits: Use: Demo building / sewer disconnect FCC Group: Demo; other building(s) The demolition permits are in preparation for the buildout of graduate housing within the Ion District (aka Ion District Student Housing / Ion District Graduate Housing). The housing will take up the entire block. According the description on Ayers Saint Gross' website, the Ion District Graduate Housing is a "mixed-use graduate and professional housing in Rice University’s emerging Ion Innovation District."
