phillip_white
Thanks for the update. I'm still interested as to what they'll be doing with the clock on top. Last picture is of the retail section.

Purdueenginerd
I noticed they had replaced some of the diagonal bracing with new steel the other day. Must have been damaged or corroded.
rsb320
Thanks for the update. I'm still interested as to what they'll be doing with the clock on top. They need to put that weather ball back up there.
phillip_white
I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but there is newly installed red-ish colored brick on the side facing the garage. It looks like they are going to install it on the sidewalk level of the front side as well.

Purdueenginerd
agreed. Looks like they also installed little sunshades over the windows. I'm glad, it gives the building a little more 'texture'

phillip_white
I walked by this morning and it looks like they have about 90% of the glass up and they're preparing to start work on the fire escape out back. I'm hoping they'll wrap up all of the exterior work in the next couple months so this upgraded structure will start to serve as a catalyst for the area.

mollusk
So they're saving the big digital clock? Digital in only the most analog sense of the word. Still, a nice artifact, particularly if they could figure out some way to have a more durable version of the old school, kinda yellowish light bulbs if they just must update something.

mollusk
Digital in only the most analog sense of the word. Huh? Lots and lots of incandescent bulbs, with motors and brushes and contacts and miles of wire. Late 50s - early 60s technology wasn't real big on semiconductors and LEDs.
