Kinglyam
So, more houses and no amenities. Still. Isn't there a deadline by which they have to sell it to pay back the Harvey money?

That deadline has already passed, this must be a new proposal. I'm guessing they will be looking for new funds to build it. But this was/is going to be single family homes or townhomes not multifamily.
hindesky
Harris County is planning a major affordable housing project in the Hardy Yards area just north of downtown Houston. Harris County's affordable housing project planned for Hardy Yards would be its largest to use funds from the American Rescue Fund Plan Act.

BeerNut
Hardy Yards is such a disappointment. Should have been an East River level of development this close to downtown. Edited September 5 by BeerNut
Popular Post Kinglyam
I just learned last night that, during the city council meeting where they approved the land sale, Councilmember Castillo said that Commissioner Garcia told him that they were promising to include 50,000 sf of retail in this project, set up for grocery. I haven't heard a peep about that elsewhere. I made a call this morning to Garcia's office, but haven't heard back.
