sheeats
I had heard rumors a few weeks back that Late Nite Pie was padlocked, but got official word this morning that they are indeed closed. http://blogs.houstonpress.com/eating/2009/..._a_dirt_nap.php Yikes. houstonmacbro
I never had the (dis?)pleasure of eating there. I'd always wanted to try it out though. Oh well ...

houstonmacbro
mike bell (owner) is saying they will reopen soonhttp://swamplot.com/?s=late+nite+pieFrom the reviews, why should he bother? Seems like customer service is what doomed him the first time...?
rsb320
I just read on Swamplot that LNP is reopening (Monday?) with a full liquor license. I'm still unclear as to why they closed for a couple of weeks in the first place.
groovehouse
I don't think liquor will help this place. The staff was already drunk to begin with, this will just make it easier for them. I'll never forget the time I went to the old location and the help was drinking from a whiskey bottle behind the counter. Classy. Some places need to just remain closed. Perhaps Mr. Bell should change the name to Late Night Rye then ? (rim shot !) Edited March 25, 2009 by TJones
houstonmacbro
Perhaps Mr. Bell should change to name to Late Night Rye then ? (rim shot !) I wonder if the owner reads these threads? If so, I wonder if he is planning to make adjustments.
