kjb434
Ok,thanks.I see the Orion one a lot. I guess two cranes are better than one.
MidtownCoog
It's a big one. I think I count at least 25 stories tall. The only other few I see are tiny.
kjb434
I don't know if this is too much to ask; but once this building starts appearing above you horizon, it would cool to get some photos.
Gary
i drive by riverway almost every day and its currently under construction. crane along with piers are up. if you drive down post oak just south of woodway, you can see the construction site.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The one I was talking about is in the Riverway complex. Is the Orion crane visible from the West Loop? I looked for it yesterday while heading to Willowbend but couldn't see it.
kjb434
If you are on Shepherd over Buffalo Bayou, look to the west and you'll see it. Also, if you are on TC Jester, or Durham traveling south just north of I-10 over the railroad tracks you'll see them. The builds will be set deep in some trees, so seeing the crane is not easy from the ground. The west loop doesn't get high enough to see over the trees.Midtowncoog probably can see the Orion crane from his office in Uptown too. He may have to move to another side of the building though. Can you see the cranes off the entrance on Memorial?
MidtownCoog
I'll try.
Gary
I'll try.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Sorry Midtown Coog, I should have worded my post better. I was actually wondering if the crane was visible from street level at the Orion entrance on Memorial.
kjb434
The crane isn't that visible. The trees are just too high.
KinkaidAlum
There is no crane on site at the Orion project yet.The crane you are referring to is the one for the new Bayou On The Bend apartments. It will be 6 stories right next to the Left Bank Apartments directly on Memorial Drive overlooking the bayou.
kjb434
Oh,I though Bayou Bend Reached the part where they didn't need the crane anymore. I've seen the use of the crane for the support and parking structure because site is not that accessible to trucks.
mariat
Hi guys.Just wondering if any of you have renderings of the Riverway high-risethat Hanover is building next to the Omni Hotel. Thanks.
kjb434
We have another thread discussing this. As far as I know, no one has produced and renderings of this building.
Subdude
Here is the thread. Closing this one.
energyman2005
I'm in one Riverway and can see the construction. I think I'm high enough up that it won't block my view of Memorial once it's finished. If it's only 20 floors, I should be good to go. I believe though that the first 4 or 5 floors will be parking.
RedScare
Bayou on the Bend will be 4 stories or 6 stories, depending on which article you read. Unclear if that is including, or, in addition to parking levels.
houston-development
Bayou on the Bend will be 4 stories or 6 stories, depending on which article you read. Unclear if that is including, or, in addition to parking levels.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>one would assume, based upon the current site work, that the parking garage is a stand-alone structure and the apartments will be 4 storyes. citykid09
I know this isn't the time to talk about stuff like this, but hopefully after all of this Rita stuff is over, all planed projects like this and the Pavilion still get built. kjb434
Why would they stop being built?Huricanes don't scare developers, they are fact of life. Andrew surely didn't stop development in Miami of highrise after 1992.

KatieDidIt
Come home! We'll leave the light on for ya. Well, we started at ten years til we come back...now its 9. Tick Tock. Off course, if we win the lotto and can buy a brand spanking new home in Piney Point or Hedwig, we'll be home the next day!
