WillowBend56
Love that book title! Marcelle Bienvenu is described as the Queen of Cajun Cooking. Based on her recipes in the book, I'd say she just might be the real thing. She has a few other titles published plus numerous articles in the Times-Picayune. I like her folksy stories about growing up in St. Martinville as much as her talk about food.http://www.marcellebienvenu.com/books-things.html Edited June 28, 2009 by WillowBend56

sheeats
Awww, I love that book. It was the first ever cookbook that I bought for myself, while traveling through Louisiana when I was 13. Good memories.
WillowBend56
The book purchase link at Miss Bienvenu's own website does not seem to work. However, I found the book listed at Amazon.com:http://www.amazon.com/Whos-Your-Mama-Catho...e/dp/0925417556There's even a Book 2 (sequel) with the same title!
