Have Developers In Houston Finally Learned That Urban Is Better?

I have noticed that many of the new developments going up in inner city Houston and even in the out lining areas have been more urban in design. I believe that the CVS that went up in Midtown a few years back would have gotten a more urban design to better fit the neighborhood if built today. It really does seem like an exciting time in Houston for lovers of urban development.

Do you all think that developers are finally realizing what they have been missing out on all of these years?

Well, I'm disappointed. The title thread states "Have Developers In Houston Finally Learned That Urban Is Better?" yet there's no relevant links, and you didn't even list why urban is better than the alternatives (suburban? rural?). I'll give props to you for not mentioning Atlanta, though.
