asubrt
Lots of little orange surveying (?) flags out marking the site of the office building. Guessing groundbreaking is imminent.

asubrt
Work has definitely started, though I think they hit a gas line today because there were several fire trucks blocking off part of Westheimer and a very strong odor of gas while driving by.

j_cuevas713
I’m so confused because of all the development in this area but this is different from the Westcreek @ Westheimer development correct?

Yes. This is just west of Highland Village — right across the railroad tracks. It is well east of Westcreek.

hindesky
That jib on the truck and the one being unloaded look to be a jib section for a luffing tower crane similar to the tower crane at the high rise for the 17 story Senior development in Southampton. Notice the round tubing of it compared to the square tubing on the vertical section. 2

hindesky
I was wrong about the jib. It was for the AT Crane not for a luffing tower crane. This means that they are going to assemble the tower crane has high as possible so that it won't have to be jumped as the building get higher. Much like the tower crane at the Camden Conte downtown. It was built as high as is allowed without being tethered to the building. 2
