bobruss
This is going to add so many great angles, curves, and setbacks. It's not the skyscraper that many wanted and hoped for this block, but it will have such a positive affect on the immediate area.

bobruss
I'm sure there is the technology but I'm afraid it would be very expensive. Something similar to the way eyeglasses turn darker in the sunlight.
HoustonIsHome
Wonder if they can make glass that changes colors, LEDs or something.Funny you mentioned that. The other day, while passing this building i was wondering what it would like if this building was red glass some of the time.
phillip_white
We can rebuild it. We have the technology!   Pretty legit, but probably super expensive.  Wonder if they can make glass that changes colors, LEDs or something.

mollusk
IIRC, it's going to be right about the same height as Two Shell.

monarch
this particular edifice is changing the face of this entire area. Â magnificent!
Montrose1100
That angle makes me appreciate it's shape relative to the neighboring buildings. I know it's been stated before, I just didn't appreciate it until now. Would be nice if it were about twice the height (although I'm glad it's not blocking the 1000 Main roof). It's great to see it in full rainbow mode. A little connection to other large cities around the globe.

mollusk
Still got a bit to go before it tops out - it'll be about 30' shorter than 1301 Fannin, the white building to 1111 Travis's left. Â I'm guessing it'll end up just a tad higher than where the taller of its crane booms is in this picture.

Howard Huge
By Russell Hancock on Flickr Those three surface lots in the foreground by Toyota center are PRIME residential lots.If I was a developer with money, Id throw up a bunch of resi towers surrounding the Rockets home base. Or that grassy lot next to 59 could make a nice pocket park, with the other lots being resi.
