The new tenant at 3015 Bagby St is a business called Gazebo. It's opening soon on the property that was previously occupied by Taste / Taste Bar+Kitchen.

I don't know if Gazebo is a bar or lounge. One of the co-owners of the concept is a local nightlife veteran who's operated a number or bars and clubs in Houston.

An Instagram account for Gazebo launched sometime this month. The Instagram bio provides a few details pertaining to the concept.

According to the bio, Gazebo will serve seafood and offer hookah. So, it seems this may be a restaurant and lounge. It is also possible it could be a bar & grill. Additionally, there are recent hiring posts with details about Gazebo's concept:

Gazebo Seafood Kitchen is your all-day destination for savoring fresh seafood, sipping on inventive cocktails, and indulging in hookah delights. Infused with fantastic vibes, music, culinary delights, libations, and top-notch service, Gazebo Seafood Kitchen guarantees an unparalleled dining and lounge experience in the city.

As of now, Gazebo aims to open this fall at 3015 Bagby St. The space was previously home to Southern brunch spot Taste / Taste Bar + Kitchen. This will be the second (I think) food and beverage concept from Strickland Hospitality. The local hospitality team recently opened The Sunshine House, an all-day brunch restaurant at 1830 W Alabama St.

The post above is in the wrong location, I blame Google Maps for this. I posted the address and Google Maps showed this map. It's actually for the apartments going up further east.

According to KTRK / ABC 13 Houston, Gazebo is closed at 3015 Bagby St. It's not clear if the closure is temporary or permanent.

Gazebo opened in August. However, Houston Health Department claims the restaurant is operating without a food dealer's permit. The department was made aware of the restaurant following complaints pertaining to foodborne illnesses.

More from KTRK:

According to HHD, the health department closed Gazebo Seafood House for operating without a food dealer's permit.

Officials said an inspector observed critical violations that could contribute to a foodborne illness, such as "raw oysters being stored in a dirty mop sink with stagnant water."

According to the health department, the restaurant failed a change of ownership inspection and is not approved to operate until it passes.

The restaurant was shut down by the health department last week for operating without a permit. Officials said an inspector observed critical violations that could contribute to a foodborne illness, such as "raw oysters being stored in a dirty mop sink with stagnant water."

Despite the closure, an ABC13 viewer reported that the restaurant was still open and serving food over the weekend.

While the department didn't catch the restaurant operating, they told ABC13 that if it reopens before passing inspection, it could face fines of up to $2,000 per violation, per day.
