bobruss
WOW!! What an impact on the skyline! 609 Main already making its presence felt Enrique thats the Market Square tower jutting up on the north end of town and just wait until they add12 more floors. It will really push the perimeter forward.

bobruss
It's somewhat hard to tell, but 609 Main is visible in the first photo.I realize it's starting to show but it's the Market Square tower that's really standing out in front right now and just think it's got at least 10 or 11 more floors to go. Once 609 gets another ten floors it will take center stage but I'm excited about what these two new residential towers are going to do to spread DT north. But Market Square is definitely making a huge impact
rsb320
Omg that parking garage across the street is dreadful. Yikes! That's the Chronicle garage. Maybe they'll do something to it after they move.
rsb320
Omg that parking garage across the street is dreadful. Yikes!I wonder if Hines is buying the garage too. Edited September 30, 2015 by rsb320
ArchFan
I hope so ... the Chronicle garage was hideous from the very beginning. I couldn't believe that Houston Endowment (which owned the Chron at that time) would put such an ugly wart on the face of the city it was supposed to serve. Twinsanity02
My suggestion for the Chronicle garage. To paraphrase Cato: Garage Delenda Est.

Nole23
I think they are talking about the garage across the street from the building, not the one behind it on the same block. Either way, I wish Hines bought both garages.
cloud713
The Hines deal was for a block and a half, including that dirty garage.

cspwal
I like that angle - gives a nice "construction outside of town" feel. Like its a colonist for a new part of downtown. And it's parking garage doesn't look hideous from this angle
Howard Huge
I bet this building will top out before block 334 is complete.

hindesky
I counted 30 stories when I took my pic. I think it may require another jump for the tower crane in order to top out the building.
jmitch94
It for sure will, especially since there is somewhat of a crown.

Popular Post adr
If you look close If I had a better camera you could see Frank's Aris Pizza Tower starting to peak out on the left and the Capital Tower garage at the base of the Esperson.

Twinsanity02
Looks great. By early next year the 609, the Catalyst , and the Hines Market Square will add further to the skyline. Just hope block 98 and the apartments north of the ballpark go up. Go Astros, whoop the Yankees.
toxtethogrady
Done and done. 3-0. Sounds like DK had his usual dominant game.
