IronTiger
I've had this picture kicking around for over a year on my hard drive. I believe this used to be a Randalls, I think northwest Houston (also may have served as a Steve & Barry's at some point) but I honestly have no idea where it is or when this photo was taken. Can anyone confirm? http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8243916/haif_sears_dup.jpg
technoevil
There are a few of those around town. I know there is still one in Sugar Land on Hwy 6 and Austin Parkway.
matty1979
That might be off of Highway 6 and West rd?
IronTiger
This store doesn't exist anymore, apparently. All I remember is that it was in Houston area, and it used to be Randalls. Does it even look like an old Randalls, actually?
little frau
There is/was a Sears Hardware out by Sam's at I-45 & Fuqua. I'll have to pay attention next time I'm out there.
acamarillo
that looks like the sears hardware in the old randalls center at louetta and kuykendahl. It is part of a structure to the east of the randalls location which also houses a Mexican restaurant and an enterprise car rental. The randalls would be to the left of the photographer, out of sight in the picture. That randalls did become a Steve and barrys for a short while, and is now a goodwill store and a recently opened dollar store. Having said that, I suppose the design could have been used in other centers so without more clues can't be 100% sure.
brhaltx
That does look like it might be Louetta... I haven't been by there recently, though. There's one on Jones Road too, but I don't think it looks like that.

The horizontal break in the bricks has since been painted blue.
FilioScotia
For Matty: The Sears Hardware on Hwy 6 near West Road is in a free standing building and is not connected to the long strip center next door. And it's still there.
Brad L.
Montrose1100 is correct. That store is at Kuykendall and Louetta. I was there just a few weeks ago.
