no1racer
HAIFers, It looks like the rumors of a new international airline starting flights to Houston is true. From May 2nd, Korean Airlines starts 4 flying to IAH 4 times per week with 3-class 777-200ER aircraft from Seoul Incheon. Here is the schedule: Quote KE029 ICN0910 – 0830IAH 772 x247 KE030 IAH1040 – 1530+1ICN 772 x247 Here is the link: http://airlineroute.net/2014/02/03/ke-iah-s14/ In addition, Dallas service gets reduced from daily to 5 times weekly. Another great addition for Houston. Thanks. - no1racer
nativehoustonion
Strange because they are an airline with the Star Alliance. It must be we have the most divers community in Houston. They need to expand terminal D. I think it is getting upgrades to handle more Airbus A-380 planes. Air France wants to fly one here. Right now IAH just has Lufthansa Airlines 380. That is odd they will reduce service at DFW. According to Zacks the new American Airlines is very weak in Asia. They will fly to PEK and PVG from DFW this spring but that add 3 more flight hours with no connectivity but JAL. NOT Star Alliance, sorry. 102IAHexpress
Only a few months away from starting? That's not a lot of time. Initial loads may be weak. I hope it works out. Asiana Airlines would have been a better fit but, still amazing news. congrats to IAH!
nativehoustonion
Your right Asiana would connect passengers to United. Korean has no connectivity. United Airlines is making a lot of money connecting in NRT with ANA. That is why United is adding another flight to NRT. Their codeshare with ANA is doing very well. nativehoustonion
Interesting, maybe they are leaving SkyTeam and moving to Star Alliance. They have showing a lot of commercials. Nothing is updated on united.com. Delta is the worse airline for reward seats. On United if you have the Explorer Card or UA Club card it will give you the Saverpass reward just like a Premier member.
nativehoustonion
When Southwest flies to Latin America will they charge for bags? If you do not know Southwest has no cargo department. It makes a lot of money on international flights. They cannot make money on every person that wants to go to Cancun.

nativehoustonion
Southwest will do what they always do in Central and South America. Cheap, no-frills, flights for the ghetto masses who cannot afford anything better, but with peanuts. And there is a big market for that. Enjoy your trip. The Pragmatist
Why are you so adamantly against Southwest and fanatically supportive of United might I ask? And why do you hate the fact that people travelling on a budget have airline options? Edited February 4, 2014 by The Pragmatist
asubrt
You fly how may times? Sorry United made $1.1 billion 2013. Suck up your sh. Who are you even talking to? Just stop it. Every single aviation-related thread turns into you bashing people who don't fly first class on United 50 times a year. I would say take your nonsense to Airliners, but you were probably banned from that site long ago.
Mr. Mojito
He's not short on anti-Dallas rants either but maybe that explains rooting for AA and WN to fail.

Mr. Mojito
Congrats guys this service will now launch daily. Btw it appears DFW will remain daily through at least the summer for KE (AA too).http://airlineroute.net/2014/02/18/ke-iah-may14/

KinkaidAlum
Does dallas have Air China 7 days a week? Is this thread about Air China? pssst. I don't think you want to get into a pissing contest with DFW. It's MUCH bigger than IAH.
nativehoustonion
IAH has more International traffic than DFW. Korean Airlines is part of Oneworld with AA. It is great to fly to Houston. We have the most diverse population in the country. Also a lot chemical companies are based here. Which is great non-stop to ICN. But we do not need your blog from dallas. We already know, please advise us of something else. Remember Houston will have 2 International Airports next year put that on dallas blog. LOL!
