wxman
I count about 20 floors. Looks like maybe another 4 floors to go plus the crown which will add another 5 floors or so. It's amazing how much this building DOMINATES the west loop. I wonder if Fertitta's tower will have the same feel?
BigFootsSocks
It's a crime against humanity they this isn't another 10-15 stories.
Buy-U-City
Hate to disagree, but if you look at the original renderings the total height of 24 floors seemed to include the crown. I counted a total of 21 habitable floors in the rendering. and I now count 21 completed floors. While nearby, I observed that the protruding rebars of the last floor are bent and interwoven 90 degrees. I'm no architect, but I've seen this enough to know it usually indicates the completion actual floor space. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how it appears to me.

AREJAY
Really? I count 21... I believe the 24 floor count includes the 3 floor crown. At least, that is what the rendering reflects, 21 floors and 3 crown.

jmitch94
Why would it be called 24 stories if it is only 21? I understand it if they say it is 24 stories tall but a crow can hardly be counted as floors. Does that mean 609 is only going to be like 40 stories with nine of crown?
Urbannizer
Looks like it comes out as 24 floors with three within the crown.
monarch
^^^ then why on earth do they require such a GARGANTUAN parking garage for just a 21-story edifice? talk about bizarre.... Edited February 5, 2016 by monarch
Buy-U-City
Garages have to be larger to handle all the land yachts, 4x4's & Stomper Bullies so beloved in our fair city.

It just might have something to do with the transportation options in that area being pretty much limited to private vehicles on roads. The bus network isn't particularly robust there. Houston19514
Looks like it comes out as 24 floors with three within the crown. The original renderings look more like 26 stories (counting the crown). EDIT: Cushman Wakefield is marketing the non-Amegy space. According to their marketing brochure, the building is 23 stories, plus a crown approximately equivalent to another 5 stories.
