citykid09
http://atlanta.curbed.com/archives/2014/03/19/multimodal-terminal-vision-will-blow-your-mind.php This project is very forward thinking and something I wish we would see more of in Houston. Do any of you think Houston will reconsider the Houston Intermodal Transit Center?
Dakota79
Our politicians have prevented any forward thinking project like this b very frustrating.
monarch
atlanta, is a city that just seems to get things done. houston, is just too ultra conservative. we always seem to move at a snails pace upon major projects.
arche_757
To be fair, Atlanta built a commuter system decades ahead of us. We on the other hand had a MAJOR economic crash just at the time the city was near/at the stage to beging some sort of transit system. That decade wounded Houston and set us apart from a lot of other cities in this country. Don't worry, there will be a day when Houston has a transit system and an intermodal passenger terminal.
Houston19514
^ Yes, and maybe one day Atlanta will have an intermodal passenger terminal similar to the one being fantasized about in this thread. ;-)
