Marcus Allen
So, a friend of mine and I were cruising around town, UT, MT and Greenway area, and I was asked, why do they put the floor numbers on the outside of the building as they are constructing it? I responded with, so geeks like me can notify my fellow HAiFERs what floor is currently under construction. LoL. But seriously, I didn't know the answer. Thoughts? IronTiger
Probably for the workers as the elevators with all the floors on it aren't installed yet?
Specwriter
Probably for the workers as the elevators with all the floors on it aren't installed yet? Exactly right, Tiger. The numbers are placed so they can be seen from inside the temporary construction elevator cab (or cage). Otherwise, once a building gets above about 5 stories it can be difficult to keep track.
