Subdude
After decades of being forgotten, the northeast salient of downtown is finally starting to see development - namely two large apartment complexes (Cosmopolitan and Solero). So does that area between Buffalo Bayou, LaBranch, Minute Maid Park and 59 need a name to help give it some identity? Please however, no "NoDo"s etc. There's been enough of that nonsense, thank you. Great use of the word "Salient". Let's use that for the name. The Salient.

JLWM8609
I don't think that area needs a new name. For me, it'll always be known as downtown and there's nothing wrong with that. However, to play along, here are some suggestions. South Frost Town Viaduct Valley Overpass Terrace Offramp Heights N.E. Downtown (real original, right?) I like South Frost Town. Didn't part of Frost Town used to be called the Scorpion? How about the Tail of the Scorpion?
UtterlyUrban
We might could resurrect Quality Hill if Trump comes in there.Ya know what? Why not use the historic name?Quality Hill, it is. Perfect. Now all they need to do is build a bunch of nice stuff and pretend there is a hill there. But, for me, "Quality Hill" is just fine. Subdude
Penitentiary Heights Bondsman's Park Sobering Acres Viaduct Valley Overpass Terrace Offramp Heights These are all pretty funny. Was this the original Quality Hill neighborhood? Somehow I thought it was further south and to the west, like around Houston Center. I like South Frost Town too.
