mollusk
While we're dreaming, can we wish them back to the NL? Though I still refer to the AL as "The Commie League" because of the DL (oh, that would have been handy back in the Carlos Lee days), with all the interleague play I don't know that it makes a nickel's difference any more. We're just traded obnoxious Cubs fans for obnoxious BoSox fans.
lockmat
The citgo sign was moved over from the middle of the lights too, right?Nice
mollusk
You are correct, lockmat. When I return to the stadium I plan to site my seats to use it to block out the derivative banality of the civil courthouse.
rsb320
The Budweiser Clydesdales just rolled into town (for the opening game, I guess). They've got some fancy trailers.
lockmat
I just noticed the pennants were put on the light poles in left field, what do y'all think about that?
mollusk
I'd rather have the pennants on the light poles than the giant billboards. Essentially, they swapped places.

EllenOlenska
Should have just moved the fence closer. That dead center shot is a killer.
bobruss
I think they're moving them in, to add more seats, restaurants and bars.
houstontexasjack
No more 425' fly outs. Good riddance to Tal's Hill.
Nate99
For reference... Though, didn't Citgo already get the boot out of center field? http://swamplot.com/astros-ready-to-flatten-houstons-only-air-conditioned-hill-fill-space-with-bars-food-behind-the-fence-seating/2015-06-04/ The hill was an interesting quirk, but an unnecessary one. 409 to center is plenty deep.
thatguysly
425 was the deepest center field, 409 is now 6th deepest.
BigFootsSocks
Yeah I believe the sign now advertises Nabors
IronTiger
I went to the game a few weeks ago. The big Citgo sign now has the Occidental Petroleum logo (OXY).
samagon
being the field with the deepest center was an interesting feature. the hill made the park unique. Now it's going to be a little less special. Edited October 12, 2016 by samagon

HannahX
Well Tal's Hill will live to see another day. because they're running scared they won't have the ballpark ready in time for the 2016 season. Just as things were picking up and getting interesting ...

SirJac
Change is a good thing. And the center field distance change doesn't bother me.....it was for bragging rights only. I don't know about you guys but I can't see a 19 foot difference from any vantage point in the park.

I mean, if they won't be able to complete anything this off season, how will they be able to complete anything during any off season? They should at least be able to complete the field portion, then put up a temporary wall while they complete the rest. At least you would think.

Subdude
Tal's hill was a bit gimmicky, and it was designed in as opposed to organic quirkiness, so I won't really miss it.
