Quote And Cawley says he expects the proposed office building to do well in the market. "There's another new building going up by the proposed convention center and everybody is excited about it," Cawley told me. "We want to give them another option." The Watters Creek location is key because it brings office tenants closer to restaurants and apartments, he said. Ultimately, he said, the two buildings will do well. Sic'EmBears
McKinney ISD's $69.9 million high school stadium: nation's most expensive? Quote At $62.8 million, McKinney ISD's new high school stadium was already considered among the most expensive in the country. Now, it might be No. 1 after school board trustees learned last week that higher building costs have pushed the price tag to $69.9 million — $7.1 million more than what voters approved in May. The new price of the 12,000-seat stadium, which includes an attached events center, shocked some trustees. Quote Construction on McKinney's stadium is anticipated to begin in September and be completed by fall 2017. If work is finished by then, games will be played there that season. McKinney school officials decided not to scale back or postpone the project. Via TexasHSFootball:

Sic'EmBears
International Business Park, Carrollton Project Location Via GFF: Quote International Business Park at Midway and President George Bush Turnpike is a multi-phase office and retail development in Carrollton. The master plan emphasizes the arrival experience in a campus environment with an iconic sculpture that marks the park at the corner between two 4-story buildings. The stone wall at the entrance of each building is intended to be a 4-story marker that provides visibility from the highway. The louvers at the entrance come down the face of the curtainwall and turn horizontally to infill the canopy. The louvers also extend from the outside into the lobby, articulating the ceiling of the 2-story space. The louvers above the entry canopy are illuminated to emphasize visibility particularly in the evening. The articulation of window wall and composite metal panel with the punched openings results in an envelope that compositionally changes the paradigm of what a value office building looks like in this market sector.
