Popular Post Urbannizer
http://www.papercitymag.com/interiors/houstons-mansion-whisperer-al-ross-luxury-home-tycoon-new-high-rise/#4 Quote That allowed him to follow his home-creating passion and open Al Ross Luxury Homes, which develops custom spec mansions and now high-end luxury condo buildings such as The Monroe. An Al Ross high-rise could soon be rising in Houston, as well. “We already have a 27-story building design,” Ross tells PaperCity. More importantly, Ross already has his sights on a specific site for the future high-rise — and the property’s available. “We want to be right in the center of town,” he says. Whether this particular deal comes together or not, Ross seems committed to bringing his version of luxury to the sky. At a time when many developers are playing it safe or pulling back amid plummeting oil prices, Ross has his company charging ahead. It’s the only way he likes to do business.
cspwal
We want to be right in the center of town So I guess they'll be making it at 290 and 610?
KinkaidAlum
This guy's houses are so huge and over-the-top. I smell Randall Davis getting some competition soon...
Urbannizer
Could this be it? masaSTUDIO typically designs their projects. The name is similar to The Monroe and no exact location is listed (all the other projects have an address listed). The Madisonhttp://www.masastudio.net/php/architecture/boards/theMadison.php
BigFootsSocks
Idk, everything about that article seems really fake and overhyped for a market like Houston.

The Madison http://www.masastudio.net/php/architecture/boards/theMadison.php Both Madison and Monroe were early presidents, so the name would make sense.
EllenOlenska
The Coolidge is a suburban Chase Babk building.
cspwal
There could be a big stately one called "The Adams" and then a smaller one next door that uses Styrofoam to copy the facade called "The Quincy"
H-Town Man
There could be a Van Buren. To get in, you have to hold up eight fingers to the doorman.

bobruss
I think this is planned for somewhere near the ROD, because it looks like Randall Davis's Astoria just to the right in the background of the first rendering.

The building looks like a watered down Messeturm, but wouldn't be the first time a rendering shows Atlanta in the background .I'm curious about the location. Seems to be next to midrises. MegMansion
The former buildings for design showrooms Chateau Domingue and Pilie at 3615 & 3621 West Alabama were demolished last month. The address shown for The Madison says 3621 West Alabama so I'm wondering if that is where it will go. The only signs up on the lot are for the real estate investors, 1912 Ventures. I work in the small strip-center next door and I am eager to know what is going in/on/up.

Where'd you come across 3621 W Alabama as the address for The Madison? 1912 Ventures was initially looking to lease out space. Based off their website, it doesn't look like they'll redevelop the property themselves. Me thinks there's a new owner or it's just easier to put the land on the market as for sale with a clean slate. http://x.lnimg.com/attachments/87ED7A9E-782A-40B4-935D-4388555360BF.pdf http://x.lnimg.com/attachments/EB4E6F24-AB3F-4454-A5E0-3A65EE17BFA8.pdf
