Cricket sounds, like I said at the London House project Gt Leach is the builder for this and they are also building the London House. A couple workers over there confirmed it. I'm guessing they are going to build most of that then move over here after they turn over the interior work to other contractors. So I'm guessing mid year '24.

Behind a paywall, but looks like this has broken ground per HBJ:

Mimosa Terrace condo project, years in the making, breaks ground near River Oaks

Here's the article (I'm an HBJ subscriber). I noticed the units start around $800/sqft, which fits in with my post the other day (different thread), that said $700-$1000 a sqft for luxury high-end condos.

As I was pulling in to the neighborhood an empty low boy trailer/tractor was pulling out. I'm thinking it either dropped of heavy machinery at the Lexington or more likely the Mimosa. Sure enough the Keller workers confirmed it dropped off an excavator and a forklift. Keller will be doing the "deep foundation" according to them. I then asked them if it would have a tower crane and they confirmed that it will. They are also building a foundation for it they said. It's the red and gray equipment.

Concrete has been poured.

@Purdueenginerd Do they take one sample to be tested from each truck delivering the concrete or are multiple samples taken per load?

Sampling minimum for strength shall be in accordance with ASTM A172 and ACI 318:

Samples for preparing strength test specimens of each concrete mixture placed each day shall be taken in accor-
dance with (1) through (3):

(1) At least once a day.
(2) At least once for each 150 yd3 of concrete.
(3) At least once for each 5000 ft2 of surface area for slabs or walls.

(b) On a given project, if total volume of concrete is such
that frequency of testing would provide fewer than five
strength tests for a given concrete mixture, strength test
specimens shall be made from at least five randomly
selected batches or from each batch if fewer than five
batches are used.
(c) If the total quantity of a given concrete mixture is less
than 50 yd3, strength tests are not required if evidence of
satisfactory strength is submitted to and approved by the
building official.

A standard concrete truck has a volume of 10 cubic yards. A "sample" is generally 2 cylinders minimum. Generally higher tier contractors will take extra incase there are strength problems.  So for example, the contractor may want 1 day breaks, 7 day breaks, and 28 day breaks plus backups, and then that about 10-12 cylinders.  If the concrete pour triggers provision 2 or 3, then that value could potentially double, etc. The structural engineer can also specify in excess of that. For example, the 50 cubic yard provision I rarely allow, except for relatively small concrete repairs.

Lewis Crane & Hoist is erecting the tower crane.

HalStruct is doing the concrete and operate the tower crane. I talked with the safety man when I walked over. I then saw they were flying their own drone, it looked like a big one too. Luckily it was flying at a low altitude because I was flying pretty high up.

Is this the same crane that was constructing London House?

Same company erected it Lewis Crane & Hoist but the safety man from Halstruct told me they have 6 tower cranes of their own and they were the contractor at London House so it probably is.
