lockmat
This is a pretty sweet design. Amegy's is nice but I'm jealous of this one. http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/forum/49-san-antonio/?do=add
strickn
For a city as rich and warm as San Antonio, this cold pinwheel is bland, forgettable, and unreflective (pun intended) of any cultural vibrancy but that of commercial architecture production professionals' firms, which are not where the vibrancy in the field of architecture takes place. This is a site that could have tied that side of downtown together, and instead, here's what hideously little they did with the plan (site) view:
strickn
This would have looked better than Amegy precisely because Amegy is experienced from a glance on a freeway. But for a double block in our most historic city after El Paso... just nah.
Houston19514
I think it's kind of kitschy. Not a fan of Austin's Frost Bank tower either.

Montrose1100
I'm glad it's going up on this side of town, should liven up the park a bit. Plus the St. Anthony's rooftop bar will have a spectacular view of it.

Highrise Tower
I’m here at the tower. Beautiful! Love the support columns! Parking garage is plain. Should have pulled a Hanover or Caydon

Highrise Tower
Photos from this week. Look at the columns with the glass facade! Love this, for the area. San Antonio is too historic. Needs more glass towers Arriving in San Antonio, I was on top of a parking garage within 45 minutes Old building vs new Early morning w/ lights 2
intencity77
This is really a beautiful building. Love the slight angles and points atop.
Highrise Tower
After looking at Amegy in Uptown Houston this afternoon I agree that the Frost bldg has a better design
