Urbannizer
A bit premature, but it sounds like some sort of mixed-use project is in development for Downtown? http://handelarchitects.com/firm/leadership/stephen-sheng Quote Stephen Sheng is a Senior Associate with over 20 years of experience in large-scale urban mixed-use projects. tigereye
Based on that wording, my guess is Theater District Master Plan. That seemed to be next on the Houston First agenda.

Houston19514
Or it might be the recent Plan Downtown. Handel Architects does not appear to be mentioned as contributing to either the Plan Downtown or the Theater District Master Plan, so it might be something else. Popular Post bobruss
Whatever it is, that they're working on, it's always nice to know that someone with knowledge, is helping us. Speaking of people who know what there doing, and always do it well. I got the opportunity to meet Gerald Hines, last night at an opening at our gallery. For 92, he seemed in great shape and was extremely gracious. I explained how much my friends and I here, admired all that he had done for Houston. I thanked him and kind of tried to pick his brain about the Chronicle site. He said he wasn't sure how they would approach the site, as far as height goes and when I asked him about a timetable, suggesting, I hoped, that I would be alive to see it built, he just smiled and added I think we have the rights to the garage also. I shook his hand and told him it was truly an honor. Made my night! 20
