Blue Dogs Posted December 11, 2018 Share Posted December 11, 2018 Now that US Rep-elect Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) has resigned from the TX State Senate (District 6) in order to head to Capitol Hill, the Special Election to replace Garcia in the TX State Senate has come down State Reps. Carol Alvarado (D-Houston) of District 145 (she previously ran in a special election in 2013 & lost) & Ana Hernandez (D-Houston) of District 143, both are the serious contenders for this office.
