Sallie Alcorn ( atlarge5@houstontx.gov) developed a intriguing idea of citizens adopting and naming storm drains - the anticipated result of keeping debris from clogging storm drains is less street flooding. hindesky Posted August 26, 2020 Share Posted August 26, 2020 (edited) I helped clean the road drains around my condo complex during Rita and Ike. I helps to keep the streets from flooding which could eventually reach buildings if not kept free of debris. Most of the debris is leaves and small limbs clogging the road drains.
