Popular Post Urbannizer
Proposed residential building. From an email response: Quote Ah, that will be located on Main Street near the Hardy Yards. The Lofts is a popular moniker for developers it seems. http://www.wilsonsquareddesign.com/ http://static1.squarespace.com/static/54e49ac2e4b02764056c8e46/54e4b2f6e4b099337fdc1ef0/552fc19ae4b0ab38febe0dcf/1429193117538/150416_2.jpg?format=1500w http://static1.squarespace.com/static/54e49ac2e4b02764056c8e46/54e4b2f6e4b099337fdc1ef0/552fc1b2e4b0122e1ac84cb8/1429193144226/150416_1.jpg?format=1500w

Naviguessor
Yes. This looks like it would be located West of the Elevated Rail line.

houstontexasjack
It would be nice to utilize underpass space. Is Poppa's worth a try? I walked by it for the first time last Saturday.

Triton
Is this UH-D student housing? There is a UH-D housing project that I have been talking about for several months now (check the Hardy Yards thread) that the Near Northside Superneighborhood has been talking about. This red would seem to indicate this may be it but perhaps that will be a separate development. Either way, there will be housing construction in the near future. 79ta
<-- UHD student. I haven't heard anything lately, but that's not surprising with this school. They don't seem to announce anything until after the fact (proposed graduation date change, attempted assault on campus). Either way it'll be nice to bring more residential closer to the campus and give it some life.
Triton
Ah! Found the post. It has been in the works since last year (Not sure if it is this project): http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/5521-hardy-rail-yard-project/?p=477217

To be fair, if they had announced the attempted assault before it had occurred, people may have become suspicious.

H-Town Man
Any way they could do this on the other side of the rail line so it won't be so visible from 45?

Poor word choice on my part. In any case, it will be a welcome addition to the area.

IamHouston
Has there been any update on this project? They are about to open the new intersection of Burnett/N Main and the renovated tunnel next to this site. I contacted the architect on this project and he stated that his client requested he not share any information regarding the future Lofts on N. Main. Though he did acknowledge the specific location we'd speculated.
Triton
Noticed a few flags around the site. Is this moving forward?
