Highrise Tower Posted August 10, 2022 Share Posted August 10, 2022 I was browsing an old neighborhood newspaper called Southwestern Times. The issue is dated December 21, 1944. I noticed an add for a local barber shop ran by V.B. Shearon, Ed Nevills, H.W. Farris, and Paul Elliott. Did anyone ever get their haircut here? Any stories about this place? Highrise Tower Posted September 5, 2022 Author Share Posted September 5, 2022 Looks like Shearon Barber Shop was also just simply called South Main Barber Shop. The addresses are the same, 6626 South Main Street "Across from the Medical Towers." Add in The Rice Thresher magazine dated March 10, 1961.
