Highrise Tower Posted February 11, 2023 Share Posted February 11, 2023 Noticed this on a 1950 Sanborn map. Directly across the street from Pershing Middle School. Anyone remember this? The stables would have been active in the 1940s and 1950s. Edit: Looks like, according the Sanborn map, 7004 Stella Link was also stables. Might have been the same Jim McKnight campus? Newspaper article from July 8, 1948: New Owner Opens Stables South Of Bellaire Blvd. Improvements will be made on the stables at 7002 Stella Link Road, recently leased by Jim McKnight. The entire premises will be refurbished, according to Mr. McKnight, and a training ring will be constructed.
