Uptown Dallas Stroll - Part 4

Recommended Posts

Nice photos of buildings, but most of the photos make uptown dallas look like a ghost town. I think I saw a total of about 9 people on the streets and sidewalks. Is uptown dallas an urban eden because it is only used by one man and one woman just like the garden of Eden in the bible.

Still, nice photos.

In reference to no 38: Looks like we're not the only ones getting strip malls near downtown..lol

Nice pics, though!

The development in #38 has been strongly criticized in Dallas which even received coverage in the Dallas Morning News.

It is located at a very high profile corner of McKinney and Pearl between downtown and uptown. The "strip center" appearance with predominant front parking has a lot of people lamenting the lost opportunity of this gateway site.

Lesson to Pro-Zoning Houstonians. Even zoning can do little to prevent unimaginative developers from ruining your "urban village" with a strip center.
