Young Women's Christian Association Downtown Branch At 1320 Rusk St.

Recommended Posts

In 1921, the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) built their Downtown Branch AKA Metropolitan Offices AKA Activities Building at 1320 Rusk Street.

The building was designed by 3 Houston "Star Architects" which is really impressive.  Birdsall Briscoe, Maurice Sullivan, and William Ward Watkin all collaborated to design this building. The Associate Architect was Wm. F. Thompson.
